Audio resources are essential when creating multimedia projects in class. Audiovisual elements are considered as an educational resource to improve the teaching and learning process.
They are motivating and raise interest in students.
Recommendations to develop good audiovisual content
- Always make a script of everything you want to say in the audio or video; avoid improvisation.
- In case you don’t have a recording room, try to find a quiet place to catch the least background noise.
- Use a microphone, it helps to reduce background noise.
- If you are going to include images and/or pictures, try to keep a style among them, e.g. only cartoons, only black and white, etc.
- If possible, include some nice background music.
- Choose a file type that can be played almost everywhere, for example: MP3 for audios or MP4 for videos.
